BUYING A PROPERTY IN THE LIMOUSIN ?

John and Ruth Todd originally from Chesterfield Derbyshire and now resident in the Limousin for the last three years have created two luxurious apartments from a large stone built barn adjacent to their lovely home which also welcomes visitors to their Bed & Breakfast accommodation. The barn was built in the 1880's and was built in the traditional French way with beautiful oak beams. It stands in a very scenic and rural location close to the villages of St Pierre De Fursac & St Etienne De Fursac, it is surrounded by very beautiful woodland and open countryside in an excellent location for cycling, walking & fishing.

The apartments are self contained and fully insulated for summer and also central heated for your winter comfort The top apartment is open plan with a large living area incorporating a fully fitted kitchen/dining room, lounge area and a modern spacious bathroom. It has French doors looking out onto a panorama of scenery with a backdrop of the Ambazac hills. All the original oak beams have been retained.

The second apartment is a spacious two bedroom apartment with a large bathroom. It is fully insulated and central heated and  the apartment is unfurnished but can be let fully furnished if required.

Because John & Ruth have negotiated the French minefield of beaurocracy and regulatory processes and found them to be quite traumatic and frustrating they have decided to offer these apartments to people who are thinking of buying a property in the Limousin. They can live in the Limousin while keeping their home in the UK, have a leisurely search for their ideal property and at the same time take informal advice and help from John & Ruth. This would not be in a professional capacity but in a friendly and informal way to ease their passage to a life in France. If in the end you decide that the life in France is not for you, you will not have burned your bridges in the UK and can return home without having made a single financial commitment. The minimum rental would be for three months. Also on offer is that once a decision has been made to purchase a property there is the opportunity to stay at the apartment or the B&B and to store your furniture in a dry and secure environment on our premises until you are ready to make the final move. In our opinion we feel that this will be a relaxed and stress free way to search for your French property. We regret that we cannot accommodate animals and that our properties are also non-smoking
